Graham & Lewis Orthopaedics
Graham and Lewis was founded in 2006 by Niall Graham and Katrina lewis. Niall and Katrina first met as trainee orthopaedic surgeons in Oswestry in 1997 finally becoming consultant colleagues in 2001 here in north wales and Shropshire. They married in 2008. They are both keen skiiers and have two black Labradors that take up most of their spare time. They follow Scotland and Wales in the Six Nations, leading to at least one day of healthy rivalry per season.
Niall specialises in lower limb arthroplasty and arthroscopy, Katrina in upper limb surgery.
Minimal incision surgery has been Niall's standard approach to Total Hip Replacement in the majority of patients for over 5 years and almost 600 patients.
Rapid Recovery is now available for both Total Hip Replacement and Total Knee Replacement at both the Yale Hospital and the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital. Length of stay, following surgery, when safe and appropriate, can be as short as two nights.
Many of Katrina's upper limb procedures are Daycase, not requiring an overnight stay in hospital.
Private outpatient appointments are available at both the Yale Hospital in Wrexham North Wales and at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital in Oswestry, Shropshire.
Very often just discussing your problem with an expert can put your mind at rest. Knowing the diagnosis and prognosis (what will happen over time) is often very helpful. Both Niall and Katrina have a broad experience of non surgical treatments and will advise and refer accordingly.
Surgical dates for all private patients can be arranged with only a few weeks notice. For patients without insurance fixed cost packages of care can be arranged for all inpatient episodes and day case episodes.
