Niall Graham Orthopaedic Surgeon
MBChb, FRCS (Ed.), FRCS (Trauma and Orthopaedics)
I was born in Dundee and educated both in Africa and Scotland. I attended Edinburgh Medical School, qualifying in 1990.
My orthopaedic training was based in Oswestry and across North Wales. I was the first Cavendish Hip Fellow in Sheffield in 2000, funded by the Cavendish Hip Foundation (of Chatsworth House fame!!)
In 2001 I was appointed to the Wrexham Maelor and Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital (RJAH), finally moving full time to RJAH in 2006.
I specialise in both primary and revision (re - do) hip and knee replacements. I undertake over 200 primary hips per year, the national average is 27! Primary knee replacements make up around 40% of my practice, in the region of 150 per annum.
Much of my fellowship training was in revision surgery and I now undertake over 50 of these every year, most surgeons manage less than 5 of these types of problem per year.
Whether private or NHS I endeavour to give all my patients my personal attention. In the NHS this is augmented by training registrars and fellows from around the country.
